As we continue linking you to scholarship opportunities in technology and other STEM fields worldwide, today, we look at two unique opportunities from Bold and ABC Wildlife.
ABC Humane Wildlife Control & Prevention, Inc., and Landmark Pest Management Academic Scholarship
ABC Wildlife is a woman-owned and led corporation operating in the male-dominated field of wildlife control which aims to increase the number of women not just in the field but in STEM as a whole.
This is why, then, they set up this scholarship to increase women’s representation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics from the current rate of just 13% of women in STEM.
To qualify for this scholarship, you must identify as a female. You should also be a graduate or undergraduate enrolling or continuing in STEM fields at an accredited university for the 2024-25 academic year.
To apply, you will have to write an essay with the prompt: Why are you passionate about science, technology, engineering, and math, and how will your pursuit of these fields help preserve biodiversity, improve the health of our planet, or alleviate human suffering?
The essay should then be sent to grants@abcwildlife.com before July 1, 2024.
Bold.org Young Women in STEM Scholarships
Bold.org has been at the forefront of increasing women’s representation in STEM fields, and the Young Women in STEM Scholarship is part of their efforts to achieve the target of increased female representation in STEM.
The scholarship aims to encourage the next generation of women in STEM fields, especially those from low-income backgrounds.
The program is open to female high school seniors and Undergraduate students from low-income backgrounds. Female students pursuing a degree in STEM can also apply.
