Are you tired of notifications waking up your phone screen each time they come? Do you wish to eliminate the consistent lighting up of the screen each time you get a new message?

If so, keep reading because we will cover how to get rid of notifications on your screen in this article.

Getting notifications is often very exciting up until they begin interfering with your life. Below are some ways to get rid of them on your Android or Apple phones.

Do Not Disturb (DND)

The first method to stop notifications from waking your screen and lining up is enabling Do Not Disturb. Simply scroll down the drop menu on your phone. On Android, the DND symbol will vary depending on the model, but you should see it written when you launch the drop menu.

Once you launch the Control Center, tap the focus button (crescent moon) on the iPhone. When highlighted, it means DND is on.

You can customize the DND on what notifications you don’t want or want, including incoming calls.

Disable Notifications on the Lock Screen

Another way to stop notifications from lighting up your screen is to go to Settings.

On Apple, tap Notifications, scroll down the list of apps, and tap those you want to prevent from waking the screen.

On Android, different Androids have different setups but when you open the Settings app, you should see Apps & Notifications or something similar. Click on it and see if there are options for Notifications on the lock screen and if you can disable them.

Disable Notifications in Apps

Sometimes, you can disable the notification from the apps that you specifically want.

Simply press on the app that you want, then click on App info on Android. On iPhone, here is how to do it. This will open the app settings. Find the Notifications Tab. Click on it and disable it or change it to your liking.

However, this method will probably be more tiresome since you must do this for multiple apps individually.

And that is how you silence notifications and stop them from waking your screen each time a new message comes in.
