How to get Rid of Mail Stuck on the Outbox

Have you ever sent a mail, but for some reason, it ends up in the outbox rather than getting sent? Do you often find yourself stuck when this happens?

Sending mails is a crucial part of our lives right now, whether for work or simply to communicate with others. But what happens when your emails end up in the outbox and can’t be sent?

Here is how to fix that problem.

Check Your Network

Mails often go to Outlook when the network connection is broken or unstable. Thus, before doing anything else, check your network connection to see if it could be the reason behind your mails not getting sent.

If your network connection is okay, continue with these other troubleshooting options.

Check attached files

If your mail has an attachment, check to see if the attached file is larger than allowed size limit.

When you attach a file to your mail, any file that is above 25MB will not be sent and will go directly to the outbox.

So, consider compressing any large files before attaching them to the mail you want.

Clear Gmail App Cache

If your issue still persists, then consider the fact that your Gmail’s cached apps might be corrupted. allowed size limit. will often save items on the app you use locally instead of downloading them each time you open it.

When these cached files are corrupted, then they lead to some issues. So, consider clearing your Gmail cache and see if that helps.

On Android, go to Settings>Apps>Gmail>Storage, then tap Clear Cache.

On iPhone, uninstall and reinstall the app to delete the cached files.
