The popularization of ChatGPT has led to increasing interest in AI and the biggest interest would have to be in the Large Language Model (LLM), the algorithm powering them.
A Large Language Model is a type of artificial intelligence algorithm that, through a combination of deep machine learning and large data sets, is tuned to create, understand, and generate new content.
Therefore, if your interest in AI has led you to want to get into LLMs, below are some common LLMs you can use for your language learning purposes.
1. GPT-4
We obviously begin with the most used and popular LLM.
Built by OpenAI, GPT-4 is a very capable LLM that has an effective ecosystem that allows you to generate plugins with ease, execute functions and codes, and of course, generate and summarize content.
2. Claude 2
Claude 2 was made by Anthropic and released in July 2023 and is accessible through an API and a public facing claude.ai website.
This LLM has a context window of up to 100k tokens, which corresponds to it being able to digest about 75,000 words per prompt.
3. Cohere
Cohere was co-founded by Adrian Gomez, Ivan Zhasng and Nick Frosst.
This AI is being positioned as a great asset for enterprises and businesses, boasting features such as interactive chat and generative text for product descriptions, blog posts, and articles.
The LLM also offers custom training models, which means that you can use the LLM for any use case scenario, domain, and industry.
4. Orca
Made by Microsoft Research, Orca is a very experimental LLM. It is a smaller open-source model and uses a technique called progressive learning to train itself from the large foundation models.
This means that you can use GPT-4, for example, to teach Orca, and it will learn from GPT-4 to improve its itself.
These four LLM languages are great tools to help yourself understand the world of AI a little better and so take your pick and get learning.
