We all have the same hours a day. Yet some people are able to achieve more than others in the same day. What then makes the difference? And how can you make the most of Your Workday. Here are some tips on how to put your best foot forward throughout the day.
Plan
Plan you Workday the day before. List out all the tasks you will need to do and respectively allocate time for them. Planning will help you to set your priorities right.
Moreover, your goals and tasks will be clear from the word go. Planning will help you to mentally offload, helps your mind to be conscious and unconsciously aware of what your day will look like.
A plan will allow you to be in control of your day, will allow you not to make irrational or emotional decisions and additionally will give you better sleep.

Make progress, no matter how little
Another tip is diving your big goals or tasks into smaller tasks. Smaller task tend to limit the intimidation of work. They allow your mind to work without the stress and anxiety of not achieving a lot.
Achieving this small goals create a momentum, a sense of achievement and happiness. Don’t allow yourself to be limited but the weight of big tasks.Break them down and keep making slow but sure progress.

Avoid Multitasking
To make the most out of your workday, avoid multitasking. Multitasking may actually cause more stress and anxiety. Besides, you are prone to make more mistakes while multitasking.
The risk of burnout is also high if you are multitasking. You will be unable to give a task your all if you are giving it half your attention. Purpose to work on one task at a time and be fully engaged in it.
Be Accountable
It would help if you had accountability at some point in your workday. This could look like a short brief with your immediate manager. Accountability allows you to correct something in the early stages before you are deep into the fault. Additionally it builds trust with your co-workers.
Checking in with someone can also help in identifying something that you weren’t able to see before. It ensures that your strategy to deliver work aligns with the expected results and overall deliverables of the organisation.
