The world of technology is evolving very fast and with each passing year, we get new additions to the tech world, some of which we didn’t even ask for. For example, the biggest breakout in tech for 2022 has got to be ChatGPT. The chatbot has captured the fancy of many people due to its human-like ability to articulate itself.

However, aside from that, what should we look forward to in 2023? Below we take a brief look.

Sustainability tech

We live in a world where many corporates are becoming a lot more environmentally conscious and we will see that reflected more this year.

Clean energy projects such as electric powered systems will be on the rise. For example, electric heavy-duty trucks could well make their way to our roads this year.

Robotics

The field of robotics has evolved but not quiet how we expected them to. While many of us imagined robotics to be human-like robots which human-like AI, robotics has instead, evolved to be more about mechanical parts taking some of the mundane manufacturing tasks.

In 2023, the prediction is that the field of robotics will become more life-like and coordinated. From small humanoid helpers to robot dogs, 2023 could bring us some interesting – and creepy, robots.

Augmented reality

Augmented reality has been gaining traction for some time now. It is the technology that aims to blend the physical and digital world. Currently, augmented reality is seen in games such as Pokemon Go, which encourages players to go seek their pokemons in actual locations around the neighborhood (the Pokemons are only visible on the phone).

With the technology of AR becoming better with each year, this means that AR will make things such as marketing and gaming much easier and realistic. Meta is already one of the leading researchers into this field.

All in all, even if none of these are completely set to happen in 2023, it will be interesting to see what advancements would have been made on them through the year.
