Below are some of the opportunities that you can check out:

Sub-Saharan African Young Talent Programme for African Women in Science 2024

If you are a woman in science, then this opportunity by L’Oreal is for you.

Talented young female scientists in field such as Life Sciences (biology, chemistry, biophysics, physiology, genetics, neurosciences, biotechnologies, ecology and ethology), and Physical Sciences (physics, chemistry, petroleum engineering, mathematics, engineering sciences, information sciences and earth & universe sciences) are the targets of this opportunity.

The opportunity aims to promote, encourage and fund women in these fields and also reward them for their contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge and how it benefits society.

Some benefits of this opportunity include:

  • 10,000 Euros grants to Ph.D. students enrolled in an African University.
  • 15,000 Euros to be granted to 2 postdoctoral researchers working in a laboratory or research institution registered in one of the regions countries (Sub-Saharan region).

Tony Elumelu Foundation African Women Entrepreneurships Program 2024

The Women Entrepreneurship for Africa (WE4A) is focused on empowering underserved communities in Sub-Saharan Africa, comprising of women, youth and the informal sector.

Tony Elumelu Foundation is part of several programs which support the initiative. Other supporters of the venture include the European Union (EU), Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Tony Elumelu Foundation and the German Development Agency GIZ (E4D program) implement the venture.
