Life After AWIT: Stella Ngugi

Meet Stella Ngugi

INSPIRED TO DO

AWIT gave me the extra grit I needed to push my idea forward. As a non techie creating a tech startup, the speakers confirmed my belief in what was truly required to successfully run a tech startup. Since then, we are working on an AI powered social recruiting platform for Africa that will automate over 75% of the hiring process & raise the bar for machine learning application in Africa.

INSPIRED TO CREATE

Our platform Jobonics seeks to use data science & machine learning to offer job seekers & employers the best & accurate results from their recruiting efforts. We are a platform built for Africa employers who have difficulty managing bulk applications and amplifying their employer brand.

INSPIRED TO CONNECT & PAY IT FORWARD

AWIT was a life changer for me. I connected immediately with one of the panelists and requested if she could help me get a mentor in my field. Now my new mentor(from Nigeria) has been guiding me through establishing my startup and is even our first customer!I also connected with one Andela fellow who presented on AI. I connected her later on with two friends of mine in Turkey who are also keen on the area.
