Get Empowered with the UN SDSN Youth Local Pathways Fellowship (LPF) Program 2024

Are you young, ambitious, and a leader in your local community? Are you an innovator or activist in any field? If you’ve answered yes to the above questions, then the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth Initiative (UN SDSN Youth) is a program for you.

The UN SDSN Youth is on a mission to empower and equip young urban leaders from cities worldwide with the knowledge, resources and platforms they need to advance on their Sustainable Development Goal 11.

Through the Local Pathway Fellowship (LPF), young urban thought leaders, activists, and innovators will get the training, support, and connections they need to transform their cities and urban areas.

Eligibility

To be selected as an LPF, you must meet these requirements:

  • Have an interest in sustainable development and must be passionate about the SDSN mission, such as the pursuit of SDGs and the Paris Agreement on climate change.
  • Have a strong knowledge of urban planning, urban environment, urban sustainability, development practice, urban tech, community engagement, advocacy, or related fields.
  • You must have professional or academic experience in urban planning, urban environment, urban tech, development practices, urban sustainability, and related or similar fields.
  • Have excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Be a proven team player with great people skills and the ability to coordinate development projects.
  • Have a great command of English, including writing, speaking, listening, and know the local language of the city you represent.
  • Demonstrate that you have time and resources to commit to the fellowship, on top of having consistent and stable internet.
  • Be between 18-30.
