Everything as a Service (XaaS) is also known as Anything for a Service. The ‘X’ stands for Anything.
It is considered a subset of Cloud Computing. Cloud Computing is a model for enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g. networks, servers, storage, applications and services) than can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction.
XaaS is a general category of cloud-based solutions that are deployed remotely and can be accessed on demand.
The ‘as-a-service’ model is increasingly becoming popular and companies are steadily embracing it. The Cloud computing market size is set to grow $623.3 Billion by 2020.
